Peru's mining sector, one of the largest in the world, drives significant demand for industrial IoT, remote monitoring, and enterprise networking technology. Lima has also emerged as a growing fintech and e-commerce hub, further accelerating demand for modern IT infrastructure.
With one of the more open trade policies in South America, Peru maintains an extensive network of free trade agreements that benefit technology importers.

Importing technology into Peru requires careful navigation of local customs, taxation, and compliance laws to avoid costly delays.
Thanks to Peru's free trade agreements with the US, EU, and China, most IT equipment enters at 0% duty, though certain categories outside FTA coverage can attract duties up to 11%.
The standard 18% IGV (VAT) applies to virtually all imports, along with a VAT perception charge that increases the upfront cash requirement for importers.
Navigating MTC homologation and SUNAT's valuation standards, along with the logistics of remote mining regions, requires deep local expertise. IOR Cloud Ltd. manages this entire process on your behalf.
We secure MTC certifications, ensure accurate SUNAT declarations, and coordinate specialized inland logistics for deliveries beyond Lima.
