Importing technology into Thailand requires careful navigation of local customs, taxation, and compliance laws to avoid costly delays.
Thailand leverages ASEAN free trade agreements, often reducing duties on regional tech imports. However, goods from outside the bloc can face duties up to 20%.
A standard 7% Value-Added Tax (VAT) is applied to all imports, calculated on the CIF value plus customs duties.
